http://www.dooce.com/ - Heather - I guess you could say the one who started it all?

Alright, enough linky-loos. On to the meaning of my blog.

I choose the tagline Not Expected But Selected mainly because as most of you may know - I'm adopted. I was not expected by my biological mom, but I was selected by my adoptive parents.

I wanted to share my story of the adoption and how I came to find my adoption records and end up meeting my biological mother. My first blog entry is here:

January 2008! I can't believe I have been blogging for three and a half years already!

Velda came for a visit in May - and here's a picture from when she was here. My roommate took a picture and it really shows the similarities between us.

I was blessed to have been brought up in such an amazing family. I grew up with two great brothers and one sister. My parents were always there for me and really passed on great values to pass on to our children one day. I couldn't have asked for anything better!
